Presidential Retreat

When I moved to¬†Boston over a month ago, the one place my friends said I should go and see is Martha’s Vineyard. They said the island off the south of Cape Cod is beautiful, a perfect getaway and a great place to relax. Looks like my friends are not the only ones who find the Vineyard a great holiday destination.

The buzz is that President Barack Obama and his family will be vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard.

The White House announced that the First Family will arrive on the Massachusetts island on August 19 for a 10-day holiday. This will be the second year in a row that the Obamas are vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard. They had spent their last summer vacation at the Blue Heron Farm, Chilmark.

It looks like Martha’s Vineyard has been a favorite holiday destination for Presidents. Former US President Bill¬†Clinton regularly went to the island for his vacations.

May be I should take the advice of my friends and go on a vacation to Martha’s Vineyard too.
